Matthew and Mary's Wedding
Mary and Matthew tied the knot on 10th October, 2012 at the beautiful Bajan villa called Vistamar. It was an intimate wedding with just twenty (20) of their close family and friends. Mary and Matthew exchanged their vows in the lush, green, well landscaped garden of the villa with everyone in close attendance.
After the small ceremony, the bride and groom went down to the beach which was just a mere five (5) minutes away to take advantage of the lovely sunset and of course enjoy one another on the pink sands of Barbados. Whilst Mary and Matthew were taking photos, their guests relaxed and mingled in the patio enjoying canapes and cocktails.
As you can see, Mary chose a very tropical colour combination with bright orange and deep purple with bits of cream and ivory to compliment. Her bouquet was a hand tied posy with lilies, carnations, roses and little berries tucked in between. For their table, we went with the same tropical colour theme, and added small centerpieces down the middle of the table along with cylinder vases with floating candles. Each guest was greeted with a napkin and their very own orange lily.
The house put together a simple but elegant dinner for the couple and their guests. Since they were from the United Kingdom, they chose to go for the traditional roast beef and potatoes for dinner and had some lovely desserts from Flindt Patisserie. After dinner, the wedding party had lovely speeches and toasts and cut their delicious carrot cake to share with their guests.
This venue was a perfect option for the couple as they wanted a small, private celebration. It was the perfect mesh for what Mary and Matthew wanted and what they expected!
